Atletico Madrid star Gabi has been embroiled in the match-fixing scandal currently smothering Spanish football.
The midfielder said to the state prosecutor: "I did what the club told me to do," referring to when he was at Zaragoza.
This was back in 2011, on the last day of the season, when his side had to beat Levante to help them stay up.
He notched both goals in an eventual 2-1 win.
Investigators are looking at the claim that 12 Zaragoza players received 120,000 paid into their accounts in the week before the game, which was allegedly then paid to Levante to throw the game.
