Cristiano Ronaldo to Manchester United: 'Come home' banner flown over Real Madrid match

According to Goals.com the Spanish club are not interested in letting the Ballon d'Or holder leave next summer. They also claim that Ronaldo would not be willing to move to a club that could not offer Champions League football, a distinct possibility should he switch to Old Trafford. The report comes amid a clamour from Manchester United fans to see the player who enjoyed a successful six years at Old Trafford culminate in a banner being flown over Real Madrid's most recent match.
Supporters' group UNITED REEL organised a plane to fly over yesterday's match at Villarreal's El Madrigal stadium towing the banner 'COME HOME RONALDO'. Perhaps inspired from above, Ronaldo was on target in the 2-0 win for Real Madrid to register his eighth goal in three games.
